Inside Tegiwa: February 2022

February might be the shortest month of the year, but it was by no means the quietest here at Tegiwa HQ. We’ve been busy listing a tonne of new brands and products as well as plenty of exciting projects taking place too!

The first new brand to make an appearance on our website this month was Circuit Hero. Using race-bred knowledge, Circuit Hero manufacture performance Honda products with unique designs that concentrate on spirited driving. Whether you use your car for road racing, drag racing or daily driving, Circuit Hero welcomes anyone with a racing spirit to enjoy their products.

The second brand to feature on our website this month was T7Design. Manufacturers of thermal solutions and performance parts the Honda K-Series platform. Check out their awesome range of products on our website!

We then welcomed Pumaspeed onto our website and their exciting range of performance products for the Toyota GR Yaris, with everything from exhausts and wheels to intercoolers and suspension upgrades.

Finally, we saw Funk Motorsport, one of the world’s leading suppliers of turbo blankets, reflective heat tape, exhaust wrap, and heat management products grace our web site. If you’re looking to keep temperatures in check, then check out the vast Funk Motorsport range!

We also added a selection of new products this month too. The first of which was from legendary Honda tuners, Mugen. They released their brand new MC10, MC10L and MD15 cast wheels, inspired from the classic competition grade ‘MF’ wheels, these new alloys combine iconic aesthetics with the high intensity requirements of track competition.

Unfortunately, a brand-new parcel shelf isn’t available via Honda for Integra DC5 owners since they were discontinued, so the next best thing is our Tegiwa replica which we released to the market this month!

Away from our website, we’re pleased to say that Tsuki, our beloved Honda NSX, returned to Tegiwa HQ during February from her visit to Bourne HPP. She now features a supercharged K22 which we’ve seen makes 568 horsepower so far, with plenty left to go as we start to ramp things up over the course of next month. You can read all about our 2022 Time Attack challenger below.

It’s been a busy month on our YouTube channel too, with the release of our eagerly anticipated Tegiwa x Milltek Catback exhaust unboxing video. Not only do we unbox this exhaust, but we also put it through its paces on our dyno and the road, comparing it to the OEM system.

Speaking of our dyno, we also had the iconic, Le Mans winning V12 Jaguar XJR-9 stretching its legs and breathing some fire on our Maha MSR500 this month too. Again, a big thanks to the guys at Bourne HPP and Valley Motorsport for bring this monster over to us!

We also released our promotional video for 2022 with a look inside Tegiwa Imports and what we do behind the scenes. This is definitely worth a watch if you’ve got a couple of minutes to spare!

February’s VTEC Junkies meet was one of the busiest ever and we were greeted by a visit from this absolute monster of a car, the legendary Lexus LFA! March promises more meets than ever before, with our first ever GR Yaris Meet taking place from 9am to 1pm on Sunday 20th March and the FK2 Owners Meet taking place from 1pm – 5pm on the same day. We’ll also be holding our VTEC Junkies meet on Sunday 27th from 9am to 1pm.
